Elijah Blue - April 2025
Elijah Boisvert, composer, songwriter, producer.
"Trail Mix" is the first single showcasing the sound that I have been creating for my upcoming album to be released in Summer 2025. "Trail Mix" covers the feelings of mundanity and apathy than I often feel in the earliest spring months, like March and April. During this time of the year, all we are seeking is the sun on our skin and the warm, fresh air in our lungs - though we aren't able to get it just yet. I wrote about how easy it is to sink into a depressive state during these months, and that sometimes we need a reminder that spring and the sun are right around the corner. Walking on a woodland trail behind the house, sitting by the river and observing the reflections and ripples, standing in the yard and listening to the symphony of birds - it's all coming so soon.
ListenThe Bones - December 2024
Elijah Boisvert, producer.
"The Bones" is a group of coworker friends of mine (who all work at
the same restaurant in New Hampshire!) who came together to make a fun
little project during the 2024 Christmas season to share with our work
family!! We decided to all pick Christmas songs we like and put this
collection together, produced by me. We had SUCH a fun time even
though it ended up being so last minute!
Merry Christmas from "The Bones", to you! Featuring
Shannen Holohan, Nathan Pevear, Matthew Bokuniewicz, Camden Boisvert,
and Grace Bernatchez.
Catie Verostick - October 2024
Catie Verostick, composer, songwriter. Elijah Boisvert, producer.
Elijah Blue - July 2024
Elijah Boisvert, composer, songwriter, producer.
My tune, "do it all again" captures that jaded moment in a dying
relationship where you feel like the excitement, the love, and the
passion that you once had for each other have faded. Realizing that
it's over, but that in another life if you were to encounter this
relationship once more, you would do it all over again...
Sadie Grace Fay - May 2024
Sadie Fay, songwriter. Elijah Boisvert, composer, producer.
"Jonathan is a song that I have been wanting to write for years, but
never could find the right words, until now. Jonathan was my dad's
brother, my uncle - he tragically passed away when he was 16 in a 1996
car accident that shook my family. He isn't really talked about a
whole lot, so I wanted to pay homage to him and his memory with the
lyrics - letting him know that we still think of him, and how I wish I
got the chance to meet him."
- Sadie Grace Fay
Alexa Rose - April 2024
Alexa Grant, songwriter. Elijah Boisvert, composer, producer.
"Gray or Blue is a piece that I've always wanted to write. It's about
the inability to read someone's mind no matter how hard you try.
Seeing the beauty in another person's mind that makes you want to
become that other person, that's what I wanted to write. We decided
that a gradual pull would be best for the piece, with a loud ending to
show compassion and obsession. The song is produced by one of my
bestest friends and I had a wonderful experience working with him."
- Alexa Grant
Elijah Blue - October 2023
Elijah Boisvert, composer, songwriter, producer.
My single, "i'm still who i used to be" explores the feelings I felt
moving out of the summer and into the fall season of 2023. While many
of my friends, co-workers, and family had transitions into school, a
new job, or a different new territory, I felt like I remained the
same; trapped in the same place I've always been, with the same
emotions I've always had.
Elijah Blue - July 2023
Elijah Boisvert, composer, songwriter, producer.
I released my first self-produced full-length LP, “Meet Me in Montauk”
to digital platforms during the summer of 2023. It features 13 tracks
including the previously-released indie-pop song “jean”, as well as
new tracks such as “Better Off Outside” and “Hypothetically” which
explore different sub-genres while still keeping things in the same
realm.
This album was inspired by many themes found in my
all-time favorite movie, directed by Michel Gondry, 2004’s
“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. In this movie, a couple goes through tremendous emotional turmoil
as they both choose to have a medical procedure done to erase the
other person from their memories. We see the couple’s entire
relationship from start to finish completely out of order, as memories
are being wiped away one at a time.
The feeling of watching
this movie for the first time is exactly what I wanted to capture when
writing for “Meet Me in Montauk”; there’s a vast range of emotions and
feelings all at play, and it all feels so hazy and melancholy in a way
that I adore following along with. The resulting album is my favorite
project I have ever made thus far, and I am so proud of what it turned
out to be.
Catch me live at a performance near you! I am involved in a bunch of different performance types, ranging from solo gigs at small venues, to playing with a Kirtan band that travels around NH; I'd love to see you there!
Do you have a gig in mind that you think I'd rock at? Thank you for thinking of me!! Contact me and let me know, I'd love to be a part of it! Subscribe to my calendar to stay up to date with upcoming events!
Hello! My name is Elijah Blue, and I’m an independent musician from
New Hampshire. I love playing the piano and singing, as well as
producing, mixing, and playing other instruments like the guitar and
ukulele!
I am most inspired by musicians like Billie Eilish, Dora Jar, Liana
Flores, The 1975, FINNEAS, and so many more.
In 2021, I released by first public EP called,
"Passengers", a melancholy ode to the passing of time and our inability to
control it. Two years later in 2023, I released my first full-length
LP called,
"Meet Me in Montauk", which explores the arc of a romantic relationship that eventually
meets its end. Subsequently, I have released two singles called,
"i'm still who i used to be"
and
"do it all again", with many more on the way!
I started making music when I was super young, and I released
my first “album”
when I was just ten years old and sold it on CDs at a craft fair in
my town. Fast forward to today, now I’ve now gotten to work with so
many amazing and talented musicians in
collaborative projects, and develop my own personal flair and style too!
Growing up homeschooled, I had a lot of extra time with my brothers
and family that I cherish so much. I left college part-way through,
and returned to my hometown of New Boston, NH to refind the quiet
beauty that it provides. My heart drew me back to living along the
river, which is where I currently reside. Much of my music revolves
around "mourning the loss of my life before now," as I like to say.
I'm a whole-heartedly nostalgic person, and my lyrics and melodies
are clear indications of that. Creating music is so cathartic for
me, and I hope that you might find some peace listening to it, too!
Shoot me an email if you'd like to collaborate!

The evolution of elijahbluemusic.com over the years.
Created in 2013, this was the first iteration of the Play The Keys website. Elijah used iWeb on the family MacBook to create this back in the day! The original domain, "playthekeys.com" was acquired for this version of the website.
The official 1.0 release of the Play The Keys website, coded from scratch in HTML and released in 2015. All of the colors and buttons were simple image files that we produced using the free software "GIMP".
The 2.0 release of Play The Keys, once again coded from scratch in HTML and CSS. Launched in August 2015. On most modern computers, this version does not load as intended as the font files were not packaged in with the website.
Play The Keys 3.0, released in October 2015, was coded by hand using Google's Material Design Library. The first iteration to utilize the classic cursive "Play The Keys" font.
Scrolling down on Play The Keys 3.0 presented this view. Cards were utilized to share different blocks of information - this was a very popular design language at the time.
In May 2016, Elijah launched Play The Keys version 4.0 to promote his album, "Play On". It had a very similar base to version 3.0, but was tweaked to give it a more updated look.
Perhaps the biggest change in the website so far was the complete rebuilt in August 2016 with Play The Keys 5.0. This new version was loosely based off of a Bootstrap template, which helped vastly in making the website appear cleaner and also work on mobile phones.
Scrolling down on Play The Keys 5.0, this is the "About Me" section. Version 5.0 was the first to promote Elijah's current YouTube channel, "youtube.com/elijahb".
With Play The Keys 6.0, the website went back to being coded by hand, still with the help of Bootstrap. This website was primarily created to promote Elijah's new album, "Cascade EP". Launched in May 2017.
In August 2018, the Play The Keys website moved to a very minimal look that more took the role of a landing page instead of a fully-fledged website. This was version 7.0, and it didn't last long before the website was shifted back to a more complete iteration.
August 2019 marked the last major renovation of the Play The Keys website that would be coded by hand for years: version 8.0. This version was once again a complete reworking of the website to give it a full set of information while not sacrificing a clean aesthetic.
Clicking on the "Music" tab in the top menu bar of version 8.0 would bring users to this page. This page switched the music it was promoting a few times in its lifespan, but was primary used to share "Over The Moon" (released in 2019).
Clicking on the "Olio" tab in the menu bar of version 8.0 presented users with this page. The sole use of this page was to promote and link to Logan & Elijah's podcast, "Olio".
The final iteration of the website was version 8.5, with a few incremental upgrades in between this and version 8.0. This version had more up to date information and graphics, as well as marked the first version that primarily used the URL "elijahboisvert.com".
Initially launched in 2020, Elijah switched to using Squarespace to build his website.
Updated in May, 2022 to reflect his branding at the time.
The site on Squarespace was updated throughout 2020-2023, until its final iteration here.
In a return to form in late 2023, Elijah rebuilt his website by hand in HTML and CSS using Bootstrap. This version of the site, dubbed "PTK X" marks Elijah's first foray into using Javascript to script elements on the site. This version surpassed the previous Squarespace one in both form, and function.
